Synopsis:
Are you currently responsible for defining projects, assigning project managers and overseeing programs? Have you demonstrated the advanced ability to coordinate multiple, related projects to achieve strategic business and organizational goals?
If so, you should consider applying for PMI’s new Program Management Professional (PgMP®) credential — PMI’s first credential designed to recognize to those who have proven skills in program as well as project management.
The PgMP® is the latest in PMI’s growing suite of credentials, which include the highly sought-after Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential and the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) credential.
The process of obtaining the PgMP® is more rigorous than other credentials, requiring candidates to pass a series of three evaluations. In the first evaluation, a panel of program managers reviews the candidate’s application and qualifications. The second evaluation is a multiple-choice examination that includes scenario-based questions. Finally, the candidate undergoes a multi-rater assessment process.
PMI® credentials such as the PgMP ®provides a competitive advantage to organizations, attracting and developing employees with the right skills for a job. Globally recognized professional credentials help employers improve business results by certifying an individual’s experience and skill — very useful when decisions are made to hire, promote or assign people into positions where proven specialized skills are critical to success.
Certification expert Aileen Ellis, PMP® , PgMP® , of AME Group Inc. will be the facilitator for this PgMP Certification Preparation Program. Aileen has helped thousands of individuals obtain their PMP® Credential and is now providing coaching, training and mentoring to those individuals who qualify for the PgMP Credential.
What does preparing for the PgMP Credential bring to the organization?

• Secure the Organization’s reputation in the market as a leader in both the management of projects and programs under its domain (this can be a great differentiator when bidding on large competitive programs)
• Build the knowledge base across the executive team of best practices both inside and outside the organization
• Close the loop so as to answer the question- Are we working on the right programs and are the programs meeting the objectives in our strategic plan

• Bring back best practices to your programs and the firm through review of PMI®’s view of Program Management
• Learn from other Executive Leaders through facilitated discussions and study
• Strengthen your network with other Executive Leaders in the firm
